NetEase Reveals New Trailer and Dev Video for The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War

Upcoming LOTR mobile title ramps up for release with an all-new gameplay trailer and behind the scenes dev video

Netease Games has released the first episode of their three-part developer interview series Devs in the Tavern for their upcoming Geo-strategic seasonal war game The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War

In Episode One Nicolas Perrin, Senior Game Designer on LotR: Rise to War, talks about what inspired the team to develop a game set in Tolkien’s legendary fantasy universe, the recreation of famous places in Middle-Earth, how they managed to balance the inclusion of beloved fan-favorite characters and lesser-known ones, and the key areas in which Rise to War differentiates itself from other Lord of the Rings games. Alongside the first dev interview video, an all-new gameplay trailer has been released to give fans a look at what they can expect to see when venturing into Middle Earth in The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War.

The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War will launch on September 23rd, 2021 on iOS and Android devices. Players can pre-register for the game now on the App Store, Google Play, Galaxy Store, and the game’s official website. Pre-registrants will receive an exclusive in-game gift pack after release, which includes a special portrait of the Hobbit of the Shire, Bilbo Baggins.
